Hey!!!

Its been a while guys.. How've you all been?

I've been busy in my studio working hard on the new line. I really can't wait to launch it. In the meantime, there's been so much going on in terms of exhibitions, events etc.. and I'm loving every single minute of it.. :)

Accessories by Abiye: Customer appreciation

Hi guys!!

Hope you've had a great week?

I took a week out last week to relax and all I can say is, I'm glad rest is essential!!
Anyway, I wanted to share some photos from some of the customers that have truly blessed me by sending photos of themselves wearing my accessories.. Its such a joy to see that people love what you create and I want to recognise each of them and publicly thank them from the bottom of my heart!!

I get a lot of questions by potential customers and I thought I'd address some of them on my blog:

Q: Who makes the accessories? 

A: Everything is done by myself. From designing & creating to promo etc. I do it all. Its hardwork, but it is worth it & I love what I do.

Q: Where can I purchase your accessories?

A: Here's a link to my website where you can make purchases. ps. I'm also happy to take custom orders on any of my items so let me know. For purchases & to view the collection, visit: www.accessoriesbyabiye.com

Q: Do you post items to the US?

A: Absolutely! Most of my customers are based in the US. I post items worldwide!

Q: What sort of accessories do you make?

A: At the moment, I handmake & customise earrings, bangles, necklaces, hair bands, hair clips, brooches, ladies bow ties, handbags, clutchbags & shoes. For men, I make bow ties, pocket squares & cufflinks.

Q: What if you have something similar to what I want, but not exactly?

A: I'm willing to learn & try new things. If there's something you'd like, just contact me explaining in as much detail as you can (or send a photo), let me know your fabric/colour preference and leave the rest to me.

Q: Can I give you my own fabric to make accessories with?

A: Absolutely! Please contact me first so I can let you know how much fabric I need to make what you want.

A little about me: My name is Abiye & I love all things accessories!!! I love accessorising - it amazes me how simple, basic outfits can be transformed using elegant accessories. I was born in Nigeria, and because of my African heritage and my absolute LOVE for the traditional West African ankara and kente wax prints, I started making accessories using African print fabric.

African prints are bang on trend right now and Accessories by Abiye is my own contribution to the already existing fashion scene. It  is my attempt to showcase and introduce African fashion to the world, using African print-inspired accessories that can be worn with any basic outfit.

I handmake and customise all items myself; from women's jewellery - earrings, bangles, necklaces, brooches to hair accessories (especially for natural girls), shoes, handbags/clutchbags, etc. I've recently added men's accessories to AA as well - bow ties, pocket squares & cufflinks. Other accessories not necessarily made with African prints will be added to AA in the near future – watch this space!
